I admit I'm not pro-Mullet, but I don't know what to make of David Bowie's dalliance with Mulletude.

Could the album Ziggy Stardust possibly be created without the Mullet? Is there a positive co-relation between Bowie's musical output and be-Mulleted locks resting atop his head? Point: once he lost the Mullet he did enter an experimental phase with Station to Station, Low, Heroes and Lodger, so there is something to be said for Bowie's emancipation from the Mullet. But still, Stardust was a great album, and he created it while a Mullet adorned his skull....I don't know what to think.

The wild years of the 1980s and up to possibly the late 90s the consensus of NHL hockey hairstyles was held in the iron grip of the samson-esque Mullet.

Czech Phenom, Stanley Cup winner and curled Mullet aficianado Jaromir Jagr:

I do believe Bowie's haircut is called a shag. it was in the pre-mullet days

Was it? I suppose it was an evolutionary forefather to the Mullet.

Upon googling, David Cassidy sported the same sort of thing. I suppose there are some staunch defenders of Mr. Cassidy as a few entries explicitly list his hair as being a shag. I guess lumping Cassidy in with the Mullet crowd would soil his honor, reputation, street cred etc.

Thanks for the clarification krebs.

OK I just took theses pics about an hour ago documenting a personal mullet sighting. I was exposed for about 16hrs. How long is the incubation period as I am worried about my next haircut.
I had cycle tourists spend the night. They were French and they had mullets. Enough said?

i think you are ok. not mullets in the classic sense. the one guy is more of a
bullet(bald mullet?) and the other guy has bad helmet hair. although don't let your guard down.;)

I was trying to be discrete I couldn't get a clear shot but he was a mullet. the bald guy was just disturbing to gaze upon.
