Had to read that several times to get it. Man, Hitch. You really need to stop writing numbers instead of letters! :)
No kidding, I'm developing a Hitch translator and parser so I can understand what he says on these one liners...

PS: When finished, I'll make it available as app for iOS and Android :D

SPoTY coming to a finale atm.

BBC ****ting all over cycling as much as they can.

Wouter not even mentioned in athletes who died this year.

Did anyone see if Cadel was shown at any point? Every other person nominated for Laureus has recieved a 15 minute hero worship review.

I wouldnt expect them to name Tondo, because he was an athlete who happened to die, but Wouter's death was significant because it happened in competition and made news around the world.

I suspect the only reason the moto gp rider was shown and wouter wasn't is because the bbc has rights to moto gp.

Sad but probably true - meant it got shown all over the motorsport coverage (including formula 1 as it was the same week as Dan Wheldon's death). Although Cav's win is the latest step in cycling becoming more widely known in this country, the Tour is still the one race anyone has ever heard of sadly.

Digging up this one, just to anger some haters. At least Cav is trying to reach Milan just cause he loves the race:)

It's great that he wants to finish this race, but maybe he shouldn't be in this race anymore?

I'm sort of on the fence here. True, being pushed uphill is standard practice among many of the autobus dwellers, but so many separate incidents regarding Cav have been reported by so many different people maybe he does overdo it. A worthy successor of Jimmy Casper, if you will.

Or maybe riders don't see the point in commenting on Jeremy Hunt or Taylor Phinney or Quinziato (or whoever else was in that picture last year) holding onto cars or getting pushed up hills.

Say something about Cav it's news. Say something about Hunt or Phinney, and they'll find some other Cav news.

Go report this, and the Schleck Appreciation thread while you're at it.

As i recall this thread is much like the Schleck one. Probably more deprecciation.

I mean a thread on CN is not going to reach 700 posts through Cav appreciation.

How strange that there's still no footage of Cav holding onto a car seeing as how ubiquitous it must be...

There's no footage of Jimmy Casper either.

But see, I have no reason to believe Ventoso would lie about this, so I can't completely dismiss the notion that Cav might have overdone it. Some of you get rather defensive about this.

No, I can't think why sprint rival Ventoso would want to smear some s*** about the world's best sprinter.

And still, with people and cameras everywhere, the best we can do is a video of a couple of tifosi giving him up nudge up hill for a few meters.

And someone might inherit lots from their gramma's dying, but that doesn't mean they'd do the deed themselves. Blatantly made-up accusations are a pretty serious matter, so I need a better reason than "he jelly" to be comfortable with that scenario.

I'm not saying Cav definitely did it. But I'm open to the possibility. If you think that's insulting to Cav, take into account I think the way you outright refuse to accept even the possibility is equally insulting to Ventoso.

I do outright refuse to believe Cavendish would do something as dumb as hold onto the team car for longer than possibly an extended bottle grab ever, until presented with evidence, yes. Reason being that it would be a significant scandal if he did and that the chance of getting caught would be very high.

Farrar pretty much flat out accused Cav of holding onto a car or drafting at the Tour last year despite being minutes up the road and having not actually seen anything himself. The reality was that HTC did a monster mini team time trial through the valley and kept him in the race before controlling and winning the next day's sprint stage.

The UCI commissaires haven't exactly been shy of punishing Cavendish in the past so why would they have had a change of heart over the last year or so?

And the most damning fact in Cavendish's favour is that despite the thousands of people who line the route of these stages every day (which will include plenty of Cav haters if this forum is anything to go by ;)), not once has any footage been discovered of him holding onto cars or drafting for excessive amounts of time.

A couple of Tifosi pushing him up a hill. That's all you've got.

Did Ventoso actually see the incident? I thought it had been a rumour which he had believed and commented upon. At first, I believed Ventoso. I think Cav's will to win and compete is huge, while his belief in following rules is probably average at best. Since then, not one photo or video has come out of him doing this. Given how big a scandal it would be and how many fans are not too keen on him, it would spread around the boards pretty quickly. I can't help thinking that if it has happened, it can't have been to any significant degree.

Why do they send Uran and Henao up the road?

To relay back to the team the places on mountains where there are no fans;)
