He seemed at times to be trying to mitigate what Armstrong had done by stressing they all did it, Armstrong was just helping out a friend, that he had asked Armstrong for EPO and that is the only reason Armstrong arranged its supply. I think it makes him more credible and if he was not telling the truth it was because he was holding things back, not that he was making things up.

Agreed, but I also try to put myself in his position. He has no axe to grind, and he cares about the people that he is hurting with this. I think he was definitely conflicted thus his nervousness on camera.....the pro peloton as he says discussed amongst themselves how to beat the tests. They didn't want to see eachother go down; they were all in this together. Going into the sport was a choice that was made, and like TH said when the next level involved doping it was really difficult to say no and the peloton felt the same way.

I think it is a sad situation all around, and TH seems to go out of his way to say that LA was just a cog and all were doing the same thing. Of course I have always believed that and have had many disagreements on this and other forums about this, but I could care less about that now. It is strikingly blatant about how somebody so close to LA views him vs what some of you think and what you write. Maybe that is food for thought.

I have never cared for TH, with the crying over his dog and the faux suffering face in front of the camera. But, seeing him go through that interview and the difficulty it was causing him has made me back off. I can't imagine what he, FL, etc. have gone thru to blow the lid off of omerta that has been around a long time, effecting many people they care about. That deserves respect, and he has mine.

Fabiani to the NY Times

“Throughout this entire process CBS has demonstrated an unpardonable zeal to smear Lance Armstrong.”

I believe they offered Lance a chance to appear on the segment. He didn't want to. Plus, what was he going to say other than what he usually says--I never failed a drug test and so and so has no credibility.

I missed the first 20 minutes but from what i saw they just made out Hamilton to be some Lance domestique who dedicated his career to riding for Lance at the Tour and mentioned his Olympic gold medal

Hello, the guy won LBL for christ sake. That means something.

Evidence of large payemtns to Ferrari as late as 2010.
Affidavit from head of Swiss lab that came up with an Armstrong positive for EPO. A totally inappropriate meeting by Johan and Gunderson with the lab head. Followed by a $25K "donation" to the UCI. And the UCI says it didn't happen. Oh, this is going to be fun

Valencia--I remember at the time of Operation Puerto, Charles Pelky told me Postal had a similar operation in Valencia. Has Charles spoken with Novitsky?

Lance is going down. Good to see what criminal law and subpoena power can do.

Wonder if the white lunch box is related to that suitcase of courage I keep hearing about:confused:

In all honesty, I really don't care if Lance is in some kind of legal trouble. I simply want the general public to understand that he was a doper.

I posted a link and quotes earlier with the names of the team doctors. Hearing that they're being investigated is a big deal as well. This really is an International affair. And team doctors, and the Swiss lab and the UCI donations, mean there's way more going on than tax evasion, money laundering, etc. Where did the team money that went to Ferrari last year come from?

Wow. What a bunch of prix. That guy Jim Gong takes the cake. Jim Gong lol.

I need to rethink my chat with TFF about hoping LA gets off to watch you guys freak out. I'm beginning to think it would be much more fun watching a bunch of Jim Gongs blow a fuse on facebook.

lolol, Jim Gong is the sole reason I joined TH's fanpage

Is that really that clown's name? Can you go to his page and see what his deal is?

I had an account a couple of years ago but trashed it. I think it is stupid. I didn't anticipate Jim Gong, though.

the meeting in switzerland. very big.

one thing no one has mentioned yet is that apparently the lab was told to tell jb and the fraud how tests were administered -- important info that would give a rider and his blood doctor, and his team, a heads up on the competition.

this meeting being arranged by the uci and the fact that the uci had accepted the backdated tue of 1999 meant that the fraud and jb had as much dirt on the uci as the uci had on them. the uci could no longer afford to let the fraud be caught. he and usp could take the doping to far greater extremes than other teams without any worries.

this doesn't just confirm that the uci is corrupt, but -- instead -- what i have been saying for a long time, that the uci is not just corrupt, but a criminal organization.

the 2001 epo positive is the biggest story and there clearly is a paper trail involving wada, usada, the uci and the fed.

this story is going to have legs

Agree. I think after all the shady bits about LA , those clips look pretty damning to me, just in his defensive/aggresive style. That and the montage of his bulging muscles and raging face really drives this home ,that we're talking one 'win-at-all-cost' dude.

I would assume so, but ppl are allowed to change their names to whatever they want so you never know.

ve haf internetz and tvz here in europe too.....
What I meant was that a US TV show is not interested in what went on at CSC, that didn't even get a passing mention on the show. Neither did the subjects of Phonak and BMC, it was only going to be about Lance and Postal. There's still the possible tell all book or a European news outlet could interview Tyler I guess.

clearly the 60 minutes did not play some softball...it was a very well put together piece with the single focus - assisted, wide-spread well-organized cheating by the sports biggest name.
