I would be over the moon if Mollema can podium in this TdF.

Big shame the incident with motorbike happened:
1. It denied Bauke the chance to gain even more time
2. It overshadows the great performance he displayed today and everyone is talking about different things.

I hope he doesn't fall ill in 3rd week as he did after great first half of the Tour in 2013.

Typical Mollema climb though. Very strong in the final 2km but pretty conservative before.

I think he will have difficulty with some of the multi mountain stages. But he's looked better than ever so far

Very impressive, though I think he'd have been distanced by Froome and Porte.
Really? Never looked like it. More chance of that happening in a multi mountain stage

It was a good climb for Porte and Mollema and I think the time gap was going to increase in the last km. Mollema is having a great race while Porte really needs a change of luck sometime soon but his form looks solid. They both need a good TT.

That moment, when the hope of an exciting end to the tour lies in the hands of Bauke Mollema

Superb ride until now.He deserves a podium place in Paris.Didn't expect him to beat TVG&Porte in a TT.

he has 3rd week issues
Even in 2013 he was one of the closest to Froome in the opening mountain stages.

I like his chances this time and Yates might be a query in the third week. Mollema out climbed Quintana yesterday. I don't see Quintana doing a miracle third week. As of today Mollema looks a good chance for a podium.

By the way, if this is now Mollema's GT GC level and not a freak blip, next year is going to get extremely messy at Trek. Contador has clearly signed on for one last tilt at glory, with team backing. But if Mollema can reproduce this form, why would he accept being a super domestique for anyone?
