Who is the pilot, and what is "the flight plan"?

The pilot is the man who has been certified to fly that puppy. And the flight plan is just that - the route he filed with the local flight agency to get permission to use the airspace. Very much all required, and better hope you never take a flight with a pilot who isn't certified, or doesn't have a flight plan.

Sheesh. Nothing to read into that one. Those boys are having a good time. The pilot's job is to keep them alive on the way.
