Real tennis is bloody difficult game to play. The balls are very hard and dense and don't bounce well. Fun hitting it off the walls etc but never understood the scoring.

My old school had a court and were the only school in the world to have a fully opperational one at one point I believe.

Who is watching AO?

IMO murrays to lose. 3 warmup games then an opponent who retires and now hes playing the world 25 who has just gone 5 rounds with Muhammed Ali (lookalike) .

Meanwhile a below par Djoker who is going to have to dance with the world number 5 and hard court specialist Ferrer, is waiting for him in the semis.

AO is his best tournament. Should have enough to finish it off this time.

I don't watch it, but I look up the news anxiously every morning to see who lost and who won. Too late to watch usually plus don't have time to watch 3 hours of tennis on tv right now.

Hope Nadal and Clijsters win. Tonight it's Wozniacki vs Clijsters, so big battle.

I tend to watch less of the AO than any other Grand Slam, mainly due to the time difference.

I'm a long time Federer fan; I like Djoko too, Nadal somewhat less, but I positively detest Murray, always have. He just rubs me up the wrong way. Looking forward to the Fed-Nadal semi.

Maria has always been 'my' gal ever since I first saw her when she was 17. I hope she'll get revenge on Kvitova and go on to win.

BTW I do think Kim is better than Wozniacki so don't give me some big " I told you so" speech when she wins;)

I sure hope she does actually.

Even if Kim loses she's better than Wozniacki. Tennis can be unpredictable, so who knows what news I wake up to tomorrow. :D

And I know you don't think Na Li(or is it the other way around) or Wozniacki is better, I'm not an idiot(most of the time). :p

Hewitt played relatively well against Djokovic last night considering how dominant he has been throughout the tournament and in that particular match. To take a set off him was impressive.

I hope Sharapova is knocked out soon as possible. Listening to that put-on scream is simply awful and I hope she never wins another tournament again.

El Pisterlero must be happy about Clijsters beating Wozniacki.

El Pisterlero 1 The Hitch 0 :D

He he:D When you're watching Sharapova, it's between her sexy legs and figure vs her unbearable grunt.

When she plays Azarenka it's really unbearable and annoying. Both players shrieking at the top of their voices.

However in contrast the men's grunts like Nadal's grunt or Hewitts' "come on" are much less annoying

Despite being a Rafa fan, i really hope that Ferrer wins it this year. He's one of the most regular players on the tour. He's been the best of the rest for some long time now.

If he played about 10 years earlier, he would have won 1 or 2 French opens.
Guys like Albert Costa, Gaston Gaudio and Juan Carlos Ferraro all won a French open and Ferrer certainly would have had a decent shot.
For him to win a slam, Djoker, Fed and Nadal all have to be injured at the same time.

You're right. We're witnessing an exceptional era in tennis. Any talent outside the big 4 is diluted within the rest of the players.

Let's hope it doesn't happen then

I'd say the top 3 - Murray is not (yet) at the level of the top three and I doubt if he ever will be.

As for the ladies grunt and shriek fest, hell, once in a while it's good fun just for one match. Besides, Maria's eye-candy factor more than makes up for the shrieking.:p

Maria is eye candy?

The shrieking is awful and any shrieking above a certain decibel set limit should result in a tournament ban for the player. It is plain cheating.

Tits are important, but they are not everything.;)

The procession of the top 4 players to seemingly every GS semi-final place without any challenge whatsoever is killing tennis - it is increadibly dull. I was really hoping Berdych could eliminate Nadal today, but right now it looking like that won't happen, and we'll get the same old borish loss for Fed in the next round (I can't believe some of you are actually looking forward to this by the way).

Its a top 4 because Ferrer is so much further away from Murray than Murray is from Fed. There was ridiculous stat towards the end of last season where any tournament (at any level) entered by one of the top 4 was won by one of the top 4. This lack of competition can't be healthy.
