Seemed to me it was a kind of "sloppy seconds" comment, but in tennis terms. Like, Kyrgios had the better first turn/first serve, and Sinner gets the leftovers/second serve.I might be too daft but I just cannot really see what that comment was supposed to mean. Evidently something bad towards Anna if you judge the reactions but it could also be directed at Sinner.
Anyway, it's probably too much to expect that Kyrgios' trash talk should make perfect sense.
I'd say US Open is rarely the best slam of the year.Yeah, not the best slam.

Too many injured / fatigued / burned out players. No one has won it in consecutive editions since forever, maybe Federer was the last one.
It just occurred to me that Nick Kyrgios used to date Anna Kalinskaya - Jannik Sinner's girlfriend.
Could his continuous outspoken-ness against Sinner and his non-suspension stem from simple jealousy or some form of resentment relating to that?
Other than him just being a toolbag with no filter.
Just desperate to stay relevant that boy.
His tennis is gone, what does he have left?
Bummer, but it was inevitable. So Nadal just announced his retirement at DC
I think it's for the off-season and the Australian Open only, but even then Djoko has seen no shortage of victories in Melbourne, so what would he need Murray (who has never won the Aussie Open) for?Must admit Andy Murray wasn't on my shortlist to be Djokovic' next coach

It sounds like they're good friends though, so hopefully they'll at least have a good time.

Australian Open 2025: Andy Murray to coach Novak Djokovic at tournament
Andy Murray will coach his long-time former rival Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open in 2025.www.bbc.com
Wow! After becoming the oldest tournament winner on the ATP Tour for 48 years earlier this month, Monfils just beat fourth seed Taylor Fritz which was his first Grand Slam win over a top 10 player since 2014!!! And is now in the fourth round.
If he can keep up that level, he might have a road to the semifinal ahead of him.
Maybe also, he's not a clown? The fact that a clown like Monfils, at age 38, is beating a top player tells you the state of tennis. Apart from Alcaraz and Mr Clostebol, the other top players are simply inconsistent and lack mental toughness (Rublev, Medvedev, Zverev, Fritz, Paul, Tsitsipaa, Ruud..not exactly the strongest era).
It's beyond clear how Monfils struggled mentally in big matches and when coupled with not knowing what to do against a player like Djokovic it resulted in this weird junkball playing style.
It's annoying how he's even been lumped in together with guys like Kyrgios when Monfils has essentially had 0 negative incidents on Tour in 20 years and the worst you can accuse him of is having a bit of a laugh on occasion.
It's also not that surprising to me Monfils still does well because he's got such an athletic heigh to fall back from that he's still one of the better athletes on Tour at 38, and he'll never lack power to cause some trouble.
Only frustrating thing is it's only now he's learning to shorten his swings a bit and playing more consistently controlled agression.
I wasn't talking about you at all.I never even mentioned Kyrgios. Don’t put words in my comment.
Maybe also, he's not a clown?
Trying trick shots, sandbagging, not running for easy shots. He’s literally said that he cared more for the types of shots he made than winning sometimes.
But ok…
