Djokovic actually has a good record against Alcaraz. I think he would have fared better in the other semi.

But seriously the problem with current year Djokovic is he's incapable of making it to the latter stages of a slam in one piece without his body starting to fall apart in one way or another.

This is how the end happens. Same for Nadal and Federer.
He wasn't injured at Roland Garros. At Wimbledon he was injured due to a slip and fall that can happen to anyone, although injury there is more likely if you're older.

But that's just grass tennis. Everyone slips 15 times, some get injured, and all the tennis fans are drooling at the idea of "why isn't there more grass tennis" when in reality without Wimbledon they would have torched every grass court long ago.

In general, you're right though. Usually players end their careers because of injury more so than just getting old and declining slightly year by year. Djokovic at RG was the first time that looked like the latter.

Alcaraz worse serve stats than Djokovic who was trying his best to never exceed jogging velocity

I hope Sinner continues playing with the arm strap. A/It seemed to improve his level & B/it gives some real Anakin Skywalker vibes in Episode III.

I thought I had never been this unexcited for a Grand Slam, but Medvedev having an absolute meltdown in R1 will probably be my favorite moment this US Open.

Zverev lost at the USO, which means today is one of my 4 favorite days of the year. The other 3 are when Zverev loses at the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon

Men's winner and runner up both showed outstanding sportsmanship and paid time and respect for the race organizers. Really nice to see..

The tennis story of the year is slowly unfolding in Shanghai at the moment. Arthur Rinderknech is closing in on setting up the most unlikely big tennis final of all time against his cousin, Valentin Vacherot (a name I had not heard of before this tournament).

It happened. Absolutely bizarre scenes.
