Jasmine Paolini is in both the women's singles and doubles finals.

Krejčíková achieved won both in 2021.

Settled, not dropped. He paid to avoid prison time.

That's really not what happened.

The prosecution case collapsed & the settlement proceeding were initiated on Monday by his ex's lawyers. The fine he's paying is to the German state (to repay the cost of the trial which he had initiated), not her. She gets nothing.

I mean people will obviously think whatever they want to think (we all know how public opinion works) but for all intents & purposes Zverev is innocent of the accusations & the previous fine from last year is annulled. He won the case, basically.

As for winning RG that's a whole different story & a hell of a lot harder. Although there's already been a couple of big games versus Alcaraz where the pre-match consensus was "Zverev is going to get demolished"... & he won. So you never know.

I still think Alcaraz will win it though.

It was way too easy for Swiatek.

Paolini going forehand to Swiatek's forehand is never going to work.

Too bad one of Rybakina/Sabalenka didn’t make the final. I think even Andreeva would have made it closer than Paolini, but she too, choked.

The FO always has unexpected runs from lower ranked players.

Paolini, Muchova, Pavlyuchenkova and Vondroušová for example and that is not even considering the SF and QF runs.

Alcaraz really needs to get his *** together. He's overspinning forehands and still missing way too many

Salt and pepper for Alcaraz. Weird.

Maybe salt against cramps. Wouldn't be a goog sign. Goes directly for the point as well, but gains him 3 break points.

Edit: Break Alcaraz, 4:2. Turns around the momentum. And after a long long fight 5:2.

Alcaraz isn't a great server, so he will always struggle to close out sets.

Zverev comes back to win the 3rd set from 2-5 down.

I shouldn't have written off Alcaraz too soon. He has choked before (in multiple cases).
