I

I dont know. At least he posts stuff on Instagram...so he is alive and does ride his bike. I assume his season is done, though.

His season has been excessively short. After the Giro, only Tour of Poland.

Wielerflits made an article about their 2026 selection. According to them the 30th place will stay open. Not sure why, but I think HLN (or was it Benson not sure) also mentioned it. Both the Vlasov to Astana and Rex to Red Bull transfers are not happening for whatever reason.

I mean, for the current season, the vacant 30th place was justified by the desire to promote the rookies as often as possible. Presumably, this will also apply to next season.

In addition, it would now be possible to sign a rider spontaneously if a good opportunity arose. However, I would have expected a sprinter to be brought into the team. Or at least Donati from the rookies, who has already secured a victory with the WT team.

Wakefield is finally promoted to performance director, a move far more significant than any staff change in recent years.
I was suprised I think reading this, I believe Wakefield is the best choice for this move and the team has clearly recognised the work he has done and is able to produce, there is no question, it should of been done earlier. But with the success from nothing the Rookies have shown and the incredible improvement from the Grenke juniors, it is clear they need this type of performance or managment in the World Tour structure. The change may not happen in 1 season but there will definitely be a big step up in this performance department I see coming.

It would be interesting to know what his involvement with the Development structure still is if there is anything. I would think he is from a performance side as Meeusen doesnt bring the performance knowledge overall to the Position.
Well done to Redbull Bora this is a good strategic move

Donati and Jasch would also deserve to make the leap. Donati has even won a race with the WT. And there is a lack of strong sprinters for next year to “easily” achieve good results in smaller races. But I was especially hoping for Jasch. I don't think both of them will make it, though. Now in the fall, Pajur is also getting a lot of rides with the WT, which they have been promoting since his youth.
looks like Jasch didn't even get another year with the rookies. I at least struggle to see why else he'd sign with Tudor Devo instead.

Tim Meeusen takes the role of John Wakefield. John Wakefield takes the role of Dan Lorang, who will stay a coach and who will work more at the Red Bull training center.

Exactly. Meeusen was Head of scouting before so I Wonder who is responsible for it now

I believe he signed with a contract into the main team in 2027.
I'm really surprised. Unpleasantly surprised. I genuinely thought he had a chance of making it into the WT team, and now he's leaving the team altogether—only to end up back in a Devo team where he won't be allowed to compete in some races due to his age. I thought he drove really well. His competitors said the same thing after the German Championships.

I wish him every success in the future.
