Anything beats Horner...Lrcp beats horner
I'm thinking that during recovery is by far the best time to recon via car because he isn't doing anything for weeks (his words). This is a top level team they should take the physio with them, not schedule to go back and forth.I find that quite difficult to arrange, they do most stuff by car. So by driving to and from you already lost 1-2 days. Then do recon and immediately go back?
I agree that there is time to do recon between December and start TDF, just not sure it should’ve happened in January-February when there was so much physio. Then again I don’t know his calendar, maybe there was time. Just tells you how unprofessional or unserious they are at SOQ.
To the bolded - you are correct, but I don't know if they actually do it that way. They play it pretty close so it is hard to say whether they act like a tope level team or a bunch of bozos who follow rehab and prep from the 70'sI'm thinking that during recovery is by far the best time to recon via car because he isn't doing anything for weeks (his words). Truth!Anything beats Horner...
Yes it was.Yeah... so what has he and the team been doing the past months when he wasn't able to train due to his injury? Wasn't that the ideal moment to do extensive recons and analysis of the TDF route?
It’s not the teams physio, he’s an independent and the best in Belgium with a huge clientele. He can’t just leave. But I agree that there must have been time to go alreadyI'm thinking that during recovery is by far the best time to recon via car because he isn't doing anything for weeks (his words). Why did they think it would be a bad idea?Article in Het Nieuwsblad with Evenepoel and his director Lodewyck. Apparently SOQ staff thought it was a bad idea to ride Fleche Wallone, but Evenepoel wanted to... I get that after sitting on the sidelines for so long, and seeing everyone else start the season you want so too, but sometimes you need to do what's best for your results. And maybe listen to the staff, who's the boss in that team really?

That they didn't say, probably too much too soon after each other which has an impact on your stage racingWhy did they think it would be a bad idea?
It is exactly the finals, finishes, downhills and POIs that he should have reconned. Nobody is arguing he needs to study all the neutral zones at the start of every stage.Lets be real, aside from a few crucial stages recon is overrated. A flat stage, you just need to know the danger zones to avoid crashing.
Uphill is nice to have points of reference, but the legs are the legs. Downhill finals (&TT) are the most crucial imo for recon. But what do i know. nothing really. just my own thoughts on the matter.
Most recon has a lead legs element.. Sooner you can get out of the plane or vehicle roll around on your bike, get coffee, smell the new air ,feel different humidity, get straight 8 in new hotel room or rental house bed the better. It is exactly the finals, finishes, downhills and POIs that he should have reconned. What did he reply to Vayer i didnt see anything on his X?with his twitter reply to that lunatic piece of shyyte Festinaboy-Vayer a few months ago and now this reply, I'm on the Remco bandawagon
What did he reply to Vayer i didnt see anything on his X?
Thanks! Oh it was that far away, i read that couple of months ago.a 2021 tweet by Vayer and Remco answered
"The most important thing is that I'm happy with my life and I don't give a damn about your comments."
Thanks! Oh it was that far away, i read that couple of months ago.
Different generation I guessFew things are so admirable as to getting rattled on twitter.
I will miss Lefevre and Vayer going back and fourth on twitterThanks! Oh it was that far away, i read that couple of months ago.
I like LRCP. As a newish fan, they've taught me a lot about road cycling.2 or 3 times per week, that still means you have at least 2 days in a row in between that you can use to do recons. I doubt the physio works on Sundays. They didn't have to do all 21 stages at once.
No. He speaks his mind, and i often don't agree with his analysis, but it's at least honest. LRCP has evolved into a cringefest with the protagonists thinking (or acting like) they invented the wheel and they are the stars of cycling. Yet they often come up with moronic analysis or poorly informed takes.
I like them too. There aren't many half decent yt or otherwise channels about cycling. I don't care about the Lance Armstrong. podcast. Too much selling stuff, and half the time their content isn't what i care about. GCN has nice segments but it is often a nothing burger. CyclingDane is okay. Just a bunch of people talking about cycling. But the flow can be a bit off. And you don't get much info about watts, ... . Horner is all about saving energy, riding defensive which can get repetitive. Sometimes you want cycling to be chaotic instead of predictable. But he has some nice background info from someone who was in the middle of it all. Having said that, I prefer the Lantern rouge analysis videos over the actual podcasts. Still if i got the time, it can be nice to tune in. See how other people think about the race i watched. maybe I missed something, maybe they view a rider behavior differently ... stuff like that.I like LRCP. As a newish fan, they've taught me a lot about road cycling.
no, its not a broken neck luckily. Lower back vertebrae mess, still problematic however.May not be the best news for Remco.
Seems Landa may have somewhat of a broken neck. No Pantani-level dom (if he repeats last TDF's climbing performances)
