He made the horn sign (boohoo, he's 19) hence he co-signed Keisse's action. What the hell Evenepoel nor Richeze weren't even looking at what Keisse was doing the moment the picture was taken. How on earth can you, based on this picture, say that they 1) actually saw it and more importantly 2) laughed with it??

You said Keisse was maybe trying to be his cool uncle... trying to get noticed. I agree. To me it's quite obvious what Keisse was trying to accomplish. I suppose there's a theoretical, extremely unlikely possibility that the other two guys standing behind her didn't witness any of it, even though Keisse was IMO clearly looking for some form of, um, male bonding. But it looks bad to me.

Let's say they did notice. How do you then conclude that they were laughing and even "co-signing" with Keisse's action? All is see is Evenepoel smiling at the camera. Richeze, I don't know, was possibly smiling at the camera as well and perhaps was turning his head towards Keisse when the picture was shot?

I see on that picture childish behaviour from Keisse, childish behaviour from Remco but way more harmless and probably indipendent from Keisse act. Then laughing Richeze I dont know if at Remco or Keisse, then probably schocked I dont know who is it. Only Ala looks like a pro in the picture.

Well, people tend to use "assault" colloquially for what in legal terms would be "battery." (Assault would technically be a threatened or attempted battery.) According to Black's Law Dictionary, one definition of "battery" is "an intentional and offensive touching of another." If the waitress's statement is believed, there was clearly "touching" here and it was "offensive." Oh, and this dictionary is from 1996, so this is not some change from the last five years.

What Keisse is doing is appalling and of poor taste, but i wouldn't be surprised that he was sorry the second he did it. It was probably because the woman was turned with her behind towards him that it must have seemed like a good idea to him. I think many guys might make a similar "joke" when they're "out with the boys" and haven't seen their wife for a week. It may just be that extra filter that tells you it's a bad idea. Especially sad because Keisse is the oldest, and should know how to behave in public. He also comes across as a fairly intelligent and laid back guy. Very regrettable.

It is a shame that the society got to this point when everyone is easily offended and everyone is looking for a payday.

You are ignoring the part where he touched her with his genitals. It was not just "taking a picture."

If nothing else, this incident has helped me identify the posters whom I would never allow anywhere near my daughters.

The only part you're disagreeing with, is the one you bolded out, and i can tell you that you are wrong in that regard. It's a boys world, there are almost no women in the entourage of a men's WT team, they hang out each day, every day for weeks with just other guys... yes, this definitely impacts your behaviour.

So the women thought it was an accident at first when "something" was touching her behind, therefore didn't react. That's kind of weird when posing for a photograph. The only situation I can think of where you could accidentally touch someone's behind, is when you try to pass in a packed club. Definitely not for a photo.

Maybe she just thought someone had to move to be in the picture or something and accidentally bumped into her. She does not have eyes in the back of her head to see whats going on.

Then she sees the picture and obviously understand what was happening. Maybe she was wondering why some of them might have been giggling etc. Of course she is offended, feel stupid and hurt.

Amazed that this is even up for debate or discussion at this point. A stupid, offensive and demeaning (to both him and her) thing to do. He has, apparently, felt the need to apologise (rightly). I can't imagine Keisse seeking to excuse his conduct so I'm at a loss as to why posters on a message board would seek to excuse it .... or worse, suggest that she was wrong to draw attention to it.
