He lost 3 kilos and had an altitude camp. He showed he can improve quickly in 2024 between Dauphine and the Tour. Top3 seems realistic (albeit with a rather good gap behind Vingo).
What since his 2022 Vuelta could lead anyone to believe that he has made some kind of GT, GC turnaround? He couldn't overcome a tiny bit of snow without a near media drama, some Hollywood script to rescue him from imminent avalanche or some BS. Some single mom probably " braved" the snowy " treachery " to have her kids at school and her at work without all the dramatic silliness. Just race already, don't preload the excuse cycle.
Guy has not given any indication that he is set to succeed in upcoming GT whatever races he ultimately chooses to race, hopefully he can deal with weather.

Learn to read with comprehension what I wrote, I won't repeat it again.
You wrote he lost weight and it's realistic that he is top 3 from what I can comprehend. I think Remco either is or is morphing into a temperamental prima donna that is gaming the system. I can't completely hold Remco responsible for the UCI's actions and allowing riders to break contracts, which is a component of my increasing contempt for Evenepoel. I think he should have spent his time shoveling snow and shutting the #### up with the media. I also thank God that Roglic sees the writing on the wall and is staying clear of coming cat fight between Lipowitz, Remco and Pellizzari.
If you were not being complimentary towards Remco's " progress " then for sure I misunderstood your post, regrets. If you were saying that Remco is making progress, then I did comprehend your post and summarily disagree.
I also think that if I were a leader at Bora, I would always want the proven commodity of Primoz Roglic instead of almost anyone else. Also considering Roglic's fantastic attitude as a team player, with such dramatic examples as Sepp Kuss can attest to, and Pellizzari would second a positive opinion about Roglic after his riding and results this year.
If I were Remco I would have fought long and hard to find a supporting spot for Primoz for any GT Remco takes on..
But if you were seconding my view that Remco is acting like a child, we are in agreement.
He has his new team, has his, I am the leader, I am in complete control contract, now all he needs is a result similar to 2022. Maybe remove some gold accents from his bike and kit..

I just pointed out two things:

1) His fast progress in 2024 between Dauphine and Tour (which resulted in superb mountain performances)
2) His good chance for top3 in Catalunya but rather far behind Vingo (which is totally different from WINNING GT, especially the Tour against Pogacar & Vingegaard).

Your counter arguments were as if I had predicted his Tour victory beating Pogacar in the process. Not even close. I just think he's among few contenders for #3 in the Tour if in peak climbing form (which is rare of course).

But to be clear, the general consensus now is that Evenepoel is winning TDF after today’s performance?

Character assassination and schadenfreude. His legs will do the talking or they won't, but let's see how he performs. Bora will adjust accordingly, but Remco now needs to only focus on performance. What that may mean is the critical mass. It might break him or it could accomplish something. Taking the gold off his helmet is not one of them.
