Lol, from so far out, everyone will follow.
I have no idea really. i'm just assuming there is a decent climb in which not everyone will be able to follow if they race on it, assuming a decent descent that not everyone is able to follow on if they race on it. and assuming some people want to help remco on the flat before the final climb. If lipo, vingegaard, pidcock, and a few others are there and they work. i see remco gaining some spots to podium. but like I said i have no idea. no clue about tommorow profile. just letting things come my way and surprise me. I know what to expect in barcelona stage. the rest is a questionmark to me.
In all honesty i also don't care about remco getting podium, or not. It's all about the impression. And that impression is already a bit murky cause of the crash. Still he looked okay today (injury wise), so i'll assume this is more or less his climbing level atm.
not where he needs to be, but respectable. and after the ardennes he has another 2 months to get where he needs to be to compete with everyone not named pogacar. We'll see how good Vingegaard is on his second peak. Maybe it will give him that extra kick to challenge tadej , or maybe it takes something away reducing him to fight with others for second place.
At this point i just want to see if remco can still compete at a high level over 3 weeks and fight for podium, win in a GT without the aliens. Maybe the answer is no. That would surprise me. But injuries have changed careers before, especially since remco is probably more naturally inclined to 1 day racing to begin with.
