I was still trying to work out the voluntary and compulsory bit myself.:p
It is also not completely an untrue statement either, since if Lance announced this morning that he was done with all competitive sports and he didn't care whether or not his 7 tour wins or any few of them were vacated and he was off to spend the rest of his days on his ranch, there wouldn't be much USADA could do beyond that point. SCA, US Justice, might be different stories.

What don't you guys comprehend.

There is NO criminal legal authority the USADA has to do anything to Armstrong. Anybody can sue anybody in a civil court of law in the US. So what, what are they going to sue Armstrong and anybody else for? Nothing, or they would have done that also by now.

They are a non-for profit private entity that has no authority to do anything except work with some other organizations, like the UCI, and get previous victories nullified, and future competition licensing denied. Which often means people still under UCI licenses can't associate with them while competing.

Every organization that Lance, or anybody else might have any involvement in, is compulsory and voluntary. That is clear. You guys make it sound as if Lance, or anybody who wants to compete in sports needs some Federally approved license by the government to do so. No such thing. They are all private and voluntary organizations. Whether you decide to follow their rules and methods, is entirely up to you. If you don't agree to the terms, you don't get a license and compete.

I don't know how I can make this any clearer.

Your Local, State or Federal law enforcement has no authority and say in any part of whether you can compete in a sanctioned private road race event with USAC, or UCI. These organizations have decided to work with the World Anti doping Agency, and come up with some sort of method, rules and ways to test and try to achieve a fair/level playing field, whatever that means. They all have policies that is the independent testing has shown someone to be proof positive, they follow a procedure to review and provide the rider an opportunity to respond and defend themselves.

The only outcome if found "guilty", is they take their private organization ability away to compete, or nullify results from the past.

Now other countries do have laws against doping, drug use etc...but related to the US. There is nothing more they can do except what I've written above against Armstrong. The Feds dropped their case, nobody has any criminal interest any longer in the matter. It is over.

So now we are back to the personal vendetta and private organizations, under pressure from their funding sources, to come up with some kind of results to justify their existence. It's all a public dog and pony show from here on out.

Law enforcement no longer has any interest in Lance Armstrong and whether he doped or not. The case is over and done. Put it in the history books, move on.

USADA reveals they recieved no info from the Federal GJ Investigation. Yikes. THAT must have been a BIG disappointment for the USADA. After Lance was cleared by the Feds - the USADA went bonkers and demanded, in writing, info from the Feds. Leave no stone unturned.

And the Feds gave them zilch. nada. squat.

The USADA were certainly EXPECTING to get info. Did they mislead any of the 10+ that were/are willing to testify into thinking they would have access to GJ testimony?

The USADA 3 person Review board has a Science Guy, a Med Guy, and a Lawyer Guy.

The Science Guy can review the bogusness of the 2009/2010 samples. The Med Guy should focus on what made Big George the most durable athlete of his generation - might be medical breakthough insights. But the Lawyer Guy also has many interesting facts to review. Better talk to all 10+ riders to make sure they STILL want to testify. Has to be 10 or more - or the USADA letter is incorrect and misleading.

No input or info at all from the Feds to the USADA. The USADA must have been very disappointed to have been denied access bummer.
