Yeah it looked bad before anybody raced on it. Can't believe how they picked it after seeing people race down it.

What is it with Annemiek and potential medals? She had an equally horrendous violent crash in the TTT at the Worlds a couple of years ago. Horrendous.

I don't understand the risk, the flat is long enough the 1 second gain on the descent means nothing. It's life and death down there. They anger me

The descent is brutal because there's way to much canopy, so it's way to dark. And then there's the road which is bad, with little bumps. And today they only went over the climb once, so they didn't get to see it in a more relaxed way.

And they're going so hard because it's the olympics. van Vleuten was on her way to win the Olympic gold, no surprise she was on the limit. It was a mistake in the end, but not surprising.

Of course I understand outside of the olympics you don't go balls to the wall but my god getting to the bottom has to be better then crashing even if you are 5 seconds slower

You do realize that they did a recon of the course in previous day, don't you?
