So, how many dilluded poor English gents with carbon bikes are there nowadays? And, dont forget, who are also able to read?

I have nothing against Geraint Thomas but how does his carreer so far warrant a biography? If it had been written by the Godfather of Team Sky I would have been interested though, I love his anecdotes and writing style.
The better question is "how many books can we sell." If there's money in it, who cares about what he's accomplished.
I agree.

One can be forgiven. Not a lot goes on in Wales, with its awful weather and high levels of alcoholism. When there is a book launch of any kind people will leave there homes for he first time in weeks to attend.

I know, it’s dreadful – when we’re not shitfaced, mining, playing rugby or roaming the countryside inflicting harmonised choral singing upon the unsuspecting, we do spend a lot of time cowering in our caves from the apocalyptically inclement climate…………thehog said:the sceptic said:![]()

…………of course, the one benefit from spending so much time indoors, is that we have nothing to do other than read the collected works of Dylan Thomas by dim candlelight (or miner’s lamp), which does mean we’ve all learned to spell the words “there” and “their” and use them in the correct grammatical and punctuational context.![]()
Geraint Thomas was, indeed, a brave man to escape from his Troglodyte-esque existence and make it over the border, right under the eyes of our English overlords………….(he probably did it on a bike……………he’s quite good at that).![]()

I'll pay that. Good post to be honest!
One correction, it's not the spelling of of 'there' & 'their' but the usage.
