I can't help but find the title funny. Geraint Thomas isn't a large or unique enough of a cyclist that I would go to him to learn all about the cycling world.
Couldnt agree more.

I have nothing against Geraint Thomas but how does his carreer so far warrant a biography? If it had been written by the Godfather of Team Sky I would have been interested though, I love his anecdotes and writing style.

The better question is "how many books can we sell." If there's money in it, who cares about what he's accomplished.
So that leaves us with pure Team Sky Internet Hooligans who want to read that book.

I agree.

And me. :) At least parts of it for fun.....

Geraint Thomas missed his chance by not calling the book "The G-Father of Team Sky" just to annoy the haters out there. ;)

Did someone say doping doesn't pay?

You don't have to buy the book, here's a summary:
1. I am a humble guy from humble origins.
2. I was always talented, but I blossomed with Sky because of a culture of hard work and innovation.
3. Sir Dave is a Saint, a genius, I love him like he's a second father to me. He's The Guide.
4. I'm against doping and I have never seen anybody do it or talk about it.
5. I don't know who Piti is. I have two cats: Ramon and Taxus.
6. Sir Dave is a Saint, a genius, I love him like he's a second father to me. He's The Guide.
7. Chris Froome is the cleanest athlete, and the most tested in the World.
8. Don't you think that Vino is a bit shady?
9. Sir Dave is a Saint, a genius, I love him like he's a second father to me. He's The Guide.

One can be forgiven. Not a lot goes on in Wales, with its awful weather and high levels of alcoholism. When there is a book launch of any kind people will leave there homes for he first time in weeks to attend.

if they're all Welsh, then they're not lining up to buy the book, but to protest that it's written in English

A bit of daylight is good for the Welsh. Apparently Brailsford was there handing out bread as some hasn't eaten in a while.

This thread is becoming borderline racist, or at least xenophobic. Have you actually been to Wales?

I know, it’s dreadful – when we’re not shitfaced, mining, playing rugby or roaming the countryside inflicting harmonised choral singing upon the unsuspecting, we do spend a lot of time cowering in our caves from the apocalyptically inclement climate…………

…………of course, the one benefit from spending so much time indoors, is that we have nothing to do other than read the collected works of Dylan Thomas by dim candlelight (or miner’s lamp), which does mean we’ve all learned to spell the words “there” and “their” and use them in the correct grammatical and punctuational context.

Geraint Thomas was, indeed, a brave man to escape from his Troglodyte-esque existence and make it over the border, right under the eyes of our English overlords………….(he probably did it on a bike……………he’s quite good at that). :) :)

I'll pay that. Good post to be honest! :)

One correction, it's not the spelling of of 'there' & 'their' but the usage.
