The two "the next" riders of the month are on there: Jens Keukeleire and Sacha Modolo, BTW.
 
It depends on how hard they want to ride in the first stage. Most top riders don't care about the GC and will just test their legs in stage 1.

A lot of riders who should do well have questionable form (Hoste, Ballan, Devolder)

Take a second string cobble specialist who can do a decent time trial and he's certain for top 5

The winner however is also often a top cobble rider (Devolder, Ballan etc winning in the past). If anyone cares from the top, they win, if not, some guy like Willems or Posthuma wins again
 
The first stage isn't nearly as hard as it used to be. Probably a large group sprinting for victory in Oudenaarde (if the weather isn't too bad). Then a good TT-er for final victory. David Millar?

Well if Millar is looking up his Spring Classics Campaign a win here would be solid indicator
 
I am going with Sebastien Roessler, good TT and more than capable on the cobbles. I know predicting a Shack victory 'shocking'😱

Yes, very shocking, as the Shack isn't on the start list.

My bet is Lieuwe Westra. He was 2nd last year in the TT, he targets this race, and he is on form (as are most of the other competitors, but... anywho.)

[edit] contradicts my first suggestions, but I'll accept, as someone said, that the top tier have bigger fish to fry.
 
Not only the Shack, but also Rabobank is not competing. Strange, since Posthuma won the thing 2 years ago and finish 2nd two times as well.

Second that. Not just because I like him, but also because he's usually pretty great in this exact race (4th last year, 2nd in 2008). He did a decent job in Wevelgem, and ought to be in shape for the coming weeks. Good on the cobbles, good in shorter time trials - this is Quinziato's race.
