Well, the Porto Sant'Elipidio stage sucks. And another TTT sucks too. Guardiagrele stage is excellent. With that I'm not sure they need an MTF stage, remembering 2010 and 2011 so don't know why they couldn't just finish at the fortress of Cittareale. This would then enable them to toughen up the Porto Sant'Elipidio stage giving them their beloved hateful TTT, a couple of stages for the sprinters, three hilly stages with one having a long tough climb and the muro finish and two for the puncheurs, one uphill and one descent finish, then the ITT.

Pretty meh parcours overall. Guardiagrele doesn't look too bad, just shameful what they did with the Sant'Elpidio stage though.

Could definitelly use a hilly classic-like stage, Acquarone really should grow some balls and tell anyone complaining about such a stage to suck it up. :p

Finally available on the official site the details of the race in PDF.

And this is the Muro di Guardiagrele (copied and pasted from Parlamento Ciclista): 610m at an average of 22.2%, with max 30%. The finishing line is on another ramp, 9% average with 12% max.

What a killer!

Have higher percentage ramps here in the land of steep hills, though they are much shorter. Some riders might as well unmount their bikes and reach the summit faster.

A known video of the climb for the forumites, but it is a good time to share it again.

Agree and the penultimate stage shouldn't be a sprint stage with no likely GC implication :(

Yes this will make the end of the race boring before the time trial. By the way with the time trials:Froome With the types of explosive climbing and more hectic courses: Contador.

Should be a good match, I mean race.

It's just all out and the strong guy moves ahead. Last summer I road a similar wall at Bellegra. Now you can't tell from this picture but the gate is at the top of a ramp of about 500 meters at 25%.
