Love the winter landscape.

Everything about the scenery today is gorgeous

Add Simmons to the list of random riders Carlton Kirby is crazy about.

I will never quite get why this seems to be considered weird? He's a commentator who actually goes the extra mile to hype up people who aren't just the usual suspects and make things outside of being the best GC rider or sprinter significant.

The kid still has lots of years. Don't write him off.

Maybe some people should lower their expectations on him becoming a GC rider for the GTs.

As far as one-day races, one-week races and ITTs goes he could be one of the best for many years. Have a great career. Who knows, he might get a good GC result in a GT if everything goes his way. I hope they dont force him down that route unless he really wants to.

Have you watched today´s stage at Paris-Nice? This climb is probably easier than the one Roglič won at.
The Paris-Nice MTF is usually easier though, if it's something like Valdeblore that would be doable. Certainly if his climbing form is at the level it was right before his Lombardia crash, he seems to have tailed off a bit since tbh.

I wouldnt say so.

This one is much more brutal. No place to hide.

Turini could have been controlled with a strong team/train. Which could have suited Remco in particular much better. Steady high tempo on lesser gradients. Only some steep parts.

Why are you so surprised that Remco dropped so early? I was curious about him since fans hyped him so much but he has not showed anything special yet in the profipeloton to be compared to Pogačar.

It's one thing to get beaten by a superior talent like Pogacar, or to drop out of a poorly prepared for Giro, but what we're witnessing right now is quite something else.

I hope his devotees can finally start to accept him as he is, instead of projecting their fantasies on him and crushing him in the process.
