Gaining bonus seconds?
Pog being in the lead, gaining more seconds and still a factor on GC actually made more sense in that regard or if it had been points for the points jersey.

But it was most likely just for extra training and prep, as MVDP wants to do here. Same thing/goal as pointed out.

A single point does not establish a line.
Pog becomes annoying as hell

Why? Pogi here, Pogi there, Pogi gets all attention. He is stealing shine from other riders, today he prevents the break from getting more time, riders from small teams from getting exposure they need.

I get that he is super good and GOAT of cycling, but no need to remind that to everybody even at sprint stages.

Also every race he enters he wins except from some classics and that makes races predictable and boring. So no, not everybody is fond of Pogi winning everything. I'm tired of this.
He was criticized for this. Where is the difference between Pogacar and MVP?
1: Both were just training
2: Isn't MVP also stealing attention from other riders?

Why is Ineos riding so hard ? they could have ridden at a more relaxed pace and brought the break back for the intermediate sprint.

Because Ganna can also win the stage and he copes better with a hard pace on the climb than the sprinters.

Ganna is not going to win the stage. Ineos could have brought back the break in time for the intermediate sprint which is all he needs.

Why is Rivera pulling? Didn't they read this thread where it was cleverly suggested that they need him to finish between Ganna and Tiberi at the intermediate sprint?

Bahrain didn't play it ideally, either. Tiberi had to go from too far down because he had too many teammates to pass in the sprint.
