And the fun will continue tomorrow with stage 3:

Are there any semi heavies in this race that could make this? Or perhaps a WVA vs MVDP battle for good old sakes.
PCS/Flamme Rouge have decided to use a very exaggarated y axis for what should really be a sprint stage. Milan has been climbing like Kittel recently but if he doesn't make it through then it would be really disappointing.

The wall at 181km is actually 7.5km at like 3.5%.

Jesus, even these race threads are full of taunting.
"It's always a good day when UAE lose"
"MVP will dominate MSR" in a stage where he got caught by Del Toro (there is zero correlation this stage with MSR).

Huh...

Regarding the race, what a thrilling finale! Super ride from Del Toro, MVP and Pelli. I think Del Toro closed the GC today, I don't believe Roglic can drop him.

talking about rider errors... the guy who crashed ahead of Arensman was Panamanian champion Roberto Carlos González, by the way!

It's obviously not quite clear if he really was ahead before the crash already, but he nonetheless must have been in a pretty good position.

Who knew people dislike teams buying all the talent taking the joy out of cycling

A certain energy drink company sponsor every sport there is, and some. Even one of the most expensive sports.

Roglic's ambition is I imagine to make it to the Adriatic coast in once piece and he's probably going round telling everyone who will listen he 'doesn't really care about GC' and will attack from 130k out then start laughing about it when he gets caught.

From what I saw Arensman attacked in pursuit of the front three in the upper slopes of the gravel hill, so I doubt he was ahead, but I‘m not 100% sure on that.

Sure, but unnecessary to post such a rant when my post was an obvious joke when we literally saw him pulling and chasing in the group behind. As many times before.

How you felt the need to go on rant that no one should mention them together after years of rivarly, because it has obivously become a bit loopsided (hence my joke) in later years, still escapes me.

In many ways, they will always be mentioned and compared to each other with their history. Again, hence my post.
Because it’s so much easier (or is it just so normalized in all media?) to make snide cutting or caustic comments about riders’ current or predicted future performances than it is to simply comment on or analyze what’s actually happening in the race.

I have no idea, but it is not that deep.

Are you not entertained?

P.S. Rogla is just racing smart. We'll see on where that takes him on this race.
