Vendrame was absolutely positioning. Saw him get around a few on the ascent. It's been a Jayco thing forever with the Yates brothers, Chavez, now Vendrame.

Vendrame is about legs. A stage with 4000m of elevation is too much for him.

I think it's because if a rider is only wearing a jersey on behalf of another rider, but has a champion's jersey, he can forgo wearing the classification jersey (that he doesn't actually own).
