Adam Yates is not in the first group apparently, the rest of the big guns should be there.
RAI confrim the Adam Yates was in the crash
Nice
That will teach him to stop sitting in the back all of the time

Shameless.
It came across pretty shameless, but I was just referring to him getting caught up behind the crash (thats what happened right?). Obviously not hoping he got hurt or anything like that. ;)
Its just a matter of time when he will lose time in important races, better do it now. Its damn annoying to watch.

Part of the reason there are so many crashes is because everybody is fighting to be near the front. It's a catch-22 situation.

Kittel just needs a long train with a few rouleurs that take command earlier and keep him up there, Haller and Zabel have the power to finish the job.
That finishing circuit was rather pointless, too often we get nothing but crashes when we see them after a flat stage, the TdS for example if famous for having pretty risky circuits on sprint stages.

Is it me or was Sagan a bit dangerous in that sprint?
Just you. He fought for position, and while using his physique I didn't really see anything that either wasn't a respond in kind or fairly safe. Certainly not anything you wouldn't see from someone like Freire.

The last circuit was sketchy but A.Yates was too far back - Expect Dirk Provin to come out blazing Between A.Yates positioning and Ewan's disappointing sprint - Will say that the finish for MS was all about Ewan, so maybe Yates has a get out of jail card and as we saw with Chaves being at the front doesn't always save you.

Ewan's sprinting style is the dumbest thing ever in cycling, but it looks even worse when he tries to accelerate like today but right away come to almost a complete stand still and gets swallowed by the bunch. Made me laugh though.

I just saw that Spilak lost 1min, that sucks. His team did a decent TTT, even if they were a bit all over the place near the end.

Apparently, Yates was held up by the crash, then someone rode into his back wheel which caused a mechanical and then he swapped wheels with Durbridge - Disappointing because allegedly he's in good form but at least he can go stage hunting.

I'm curious about Landa performance tomorrow. I hope he can repeat what he did in Burgos last year when he won first stage and in Andalucia this year when Wellens was better than him. This kind of attack at the beginning of climb is probably the only way for him to gain a time and try to win the GC or at least finish on the podium.
