Cav is no longer a top sprinter. :D

He broke through in a year with no top sprinter and now finally good sprinters are showing up again.

I think it's fair to say that Sagan is the best sprinter, if he ever had a train like Cav at HTC.. Oh boy.

I agree, Cav looks a shadow of his former self, I doubt he will win another race all year. Clearly he isn't the same rider without Bernie.

Wow, Sagan was incredible. I hope he doesn't start climbing.

Goodness help the entire peleton if he starts climbing. Actually he already can. Remember that stage during last year's tour where LLSanchez tried to drop him??
This guy is incredible. must be scary to see him near you in a race.
greipel doesn't seem to be in form. Cavendish's position wasn't the best because he seemed too close to the barrier.

I like people jumping to stupid conclusions before the man even says anything. Oh the joy of the internet.

Yeah, today nobody but Cav is to blame for Cavendish not winning. Sagan beat him fair & square. But assuming what the guy says before he gets a microphone in front of him? Grasping at straws chaps

On a side note, I do enjoy the part where people claim Cav is done as a top sprinter with nary a word about Griepel, despite having still beat Andre yesterday & today. Hmmm.

I know, I know, expecting rational reactions from the internet is like expecting a baby to perform long division. Everything has to be BEST EVER or WORST EVER.

Good sprint from Sagan today. Deserves credit for that, beating a strong field.

jeez u guys dont half talk some sh1te. How u can draw these conclusions about the relative merits of sprinters after 1 race in the pouring rain is laughable. u need things to go yr way to win a sprint like that, obviously there is only a small amount between the top sprinters and if u dont get the run at the right time yr not gonna win

They're joking - it's a CN forum staple for people to notice the 1 or 2 times Cav doesn't win and ignore the multiple time he does.

I'm much happier that inevitable **** ups happen now than in a grand tour, and there's been nothing to suggest he doesn't have the speed to keep winning whenever given a decent go, so c'est la vie.

yes Sagan was forced to go early in the sprint in stage 2, similar to Greipel today, so some luck is involved, but we make our own luck.

get on the Sagan Wagon, it's a thrill ride

Look, there is no doubt Cav is still the man to beat, the problem I have is how he moans when he loses, like he knows 100 percent he will win while forgetting he's competing against other riders with some talent and usually not with the train he's used to, and since he doesn't have the old HTC team seems to me lot of those wins he took lose a bit of flare, I credit more sprinters that on their own and just shut the hell up when they don't win.
