It looks like Cav managed to get back on before the start of the descent. I'm gonna go look up his T-A results from 2009.

That was the one where he kept getting dropped on the climbs, but after MSR said he was doing so intentionally to make people think he couldn't get over the Poggio and Cipressa.

He also won a sprint.

In T-A 2009 Cav competed in two sprints and got a second and a first. I don't think he's at that level this year.

Ah thanks. Thought it might've been a BMC jersey but there was no tri-colours on the sleeves so it couldn't have been their only rider. :D
