It would be nice from him to mention that some guys worked well for him and shw some appreciation.

I'm sure he thanked them all personally. That's what I always hear (ex-)teammates say.

Don't listen her:D

Roman has done very good stages. The TTT, yesterday and today. Perhaps he could have get a Podium at Paris Nice, but a top 10 in this Tirreno is notable.

You don't think he can win P-N with the quality of the field right now? I bet he could. He was so good today. And yesterday he wasn't that bad.

Yeah didn't he offer a watch to everyone including Armstrong in 2010 because of their work the previous year?
I would have loved to see Lance's face. Great mind game :D

My apologies to Froome for the error of posting that he took Horner wide on the last sharp left. It was Kwitatkowski and was fair upon second look. No HD, stream.

Just saw a rel\play of the stage.
Kreuziger looks to me to be a key factor for AC this July.
Froome was tired at the end of this stage (for once).
jRod is the best at what he does.
Nibali was tired today poor guy.
Mollema with a strong ride today.
I was worried for a second or 2 that Sagan might win this one too, luckily he proved to be a human for once :p
Noone of Nibalis helpers have much of a shape atm. Tira was with him for a while, but Brajkp and Kessiakoff really needs to find their climbing legs come May (Not that I am to worried about Brajko, he usually need some kms of uphill before he is amongst the best)

Quite a good day's racing I thought with a really hard pace towards the end. On the climb where they caught Cungeo, I thought Henao and Uran were going to drop everyone (including Froome) - my legs were hurting just watching.

Froome's comment about Kwiatowski "showing that he's human after all" were quite amusing - the Alien has a sense of humour it seems. He was also coughing away during the interview - I wonder if he's coming down with something.

Why are people surprised Froome looked tired at the end of the stage? I suppose its all part of the 'SKY are cheats' campain. He always looks knackered to me

If you think that fair enough but he looked a bit worse today than previously in mine and some others opinion.

i know its not v scientific but when you compare the way guys climb nowadays to armstrong/pantani its a million miles away. they may still be cheating in some ways but it sure is a lot smaller effect than before

Sky just can't help themselves sometimes. Why not let Astana or Saxo do a turn chasing down Cunego? He was never going to be a threat to the overall

Probably giving him too much credit, but I thought Froome did just enough once he saw that Kwiatoski had gone

How come then that the highest VAM *ever* in the Tour was in 2009?

That's a very good point although Verbier is a short-ish climb, I guess it's easier to have an higher VAM?

I think people need to get some perspective on Sky. Unimpressive TTT, then sprint stages they had no interest in so just stayed out of trouble. Stage 4 BMC and Astana did most of the work chasing the breakaway down, then Sky just hit the climb hard with 3 top climbers working as domestiques. It looked impressive, shelling out JRod and Evans but in reality they didn't actually outclimb them, they just burnt them off riding tempo until they went backwards themselves. Only Uran finished anywhere near the top contenders.

Then JRod smashes them up in the next stage, and Contador pulls back some important seconds. This is an early-season, one week race, so much of the season left but to listen to the talk Sky are literally going to win every race going. The reaction is a little hysterical quite frankly, on the basis of basically two stages. Froome hasn't even won yet

best post so far. people need to keep reality in check and see things in perspective. also they have won a grand total of 1 gt's so far, which is the luckiest they could ever win without contador, andy and the worst course(most itt friendly) in decades
