Plenty of strong riders will try to get in a break tomorrow. Thinking Moreno Moser, Slagter if he feels good, Rabottini, maybe even Cadel and Samu.

Purito said he might try something from distance but I don't believe him. More likely a teammate.

yes, we need a very powerful break to go including a couple of riders in the 5 minute (GC) range to put enough pressure on the Sky train to give us a great finale.

There are plenty of opportunities to take additional seconds on a tough stage like this.

Raced hard and this will be the toughest stage in T-A this year.

Let's not overestimate him. He's still only 22 and has never been tested on consecutive days of hard racing with the best riders in the world. Today he looked cooked and I don't think he's that suited to short and steep climbs.
That's true. And what about Sagan? Can he stay with best tomorrow? I've my doubts about that.

Just mapped both loops, but I think I might have got something in Fermo wrong. Took some time with all the small roads. It's based purely on the map from OP.

The big loop + the small loop:

I did it a couple of days ago (I left out the first k):

should be accurate for Ferne but I wasn't sure about Sant'elpidio A Mare and Monte Urano

I found out that if they went right instead of left after the last climb, it continues up a little and then after the downhill, it can be connected to another hill. :)

The great thing about tomorrow profile is the GC man and men of classics will be involved together

I have no idea who'll win tomorrow, could be anyone. I don't expect any differences between the GC contenders.

If Froome TT's like he did in le tour then i'm not so sure.

Probably, but its prologue length and Contador is a very good prologue rider. Dont know about Froome but im guessing by his riding style he might find it a bit more difficult on accelerations through corners.

Maybe

Profile looks ok for him, unless I'm reading it wrong?

Would be great if him and Moser got away in a break. Might force a team other than Sky to do a bit of chasing for a change

Alberto is in **** form though so I expect him to lose at least 10 secs

That has got to be the most confusing map of the course out there.
They go clock-wise both times. First two times are the big red loop. Last time is the blue loop. Hope that helps you to understand the map :)

EDIT: The big red loop includes the north part of the blue loop.

This is one of those stages in which Sagan and Moser should blow the race apart. Moser attacks at 162. Tony Martin  jumps on his wheel. They win by six minutes.

There's a total of 4 corners if I'm not mistaken. Not a technical parcours.

What do you mean they win??? Somebody must come second :D
I'm expecting Cannondale to be heavily involved too.

Wait, so is this course harder than LBL or is Cavendish 2nd favourite?

it is mighty hard, i don't think sagan has any chance at this if contador and nibali go for it on the climbs like today

Did you actually watch it? The road was wide enough, but Froome deliberately tried moving in front of the Saxos. You are right that there was no need for him to do so, but that doesn't change the fact that he did indeed almost crashed into them. Either on purpose or because of a lack of bike handling skills.

Im not sure what he was thinking, seemed like a brain fade, bit like he wanted to punch him, strange, very strange, lucky he didnt crash.

Looking forward to this stage.

I just hope that if for example purito and AC go away other teams like astana won't help out sky.
