Do you guys have any suggestions for what to shout at some of the riders? My GF and I wanted to yell at the riders coming up Bonny Doon rd, and I was hoping to shout some specific comments... definitely going to have her shout for Cozza to give her a mustache ride, lol.

Give Cavendish the finger.

He did it to all the cycling fans world-wide, so he should get some of that back IMO.

Worse than anything. Their commentary consists of inane blather, Lance chamois-sniffing, recycling the hype of the race whole, telling us all about how brilliant the race is, how all the big stars are here, how all these Anglophone riders are going to be world-beaters, and then some nonsense for tourist boards, then back to Armstrong, then pretending the breakaway have a chance (they were screaming 'André Greipel is LOSING THIS BIKE RACE!' when people in a breakaway were in virtual ochre in the Tour Down Under), talking about it being good for sprinters, then insisting that the GC riders will be fighting for the seconds on the final stage...

but they have helpfully told us that the winner is the person with the lowest time overall, and that if cavendish wins today he will get a time bonus and will be the leader because of it.

Sporza is a bit overrated, IMO. During the Giro it's ok, with Schotte and De Cauwer. But with Wuyts and Vannieuwkerke the chauvinism is just too much to bear.

Eurosport switched to English commentary, that's what I use most.

Still better than Dijkstra and Ducrot... Who should just start their own Coffee Club & Knitting Society for all the pointless yakking they do.

But at least D&D aren't flat out bad, like these Eurosport yokels.

Schotte over Wuyts or Karl? Are you insane?

Dutch Eurosport, or are we onto the discussion of English-language commentary? Because British Eurosport has some pretty decent commentary teams, although Séan Kelly can miss stuff because of putting together insanely long run-on sentences and David Harmon is a huge Cadel Evans fanboy, they are at least informed and self-deprecating. Phil and Paul have long since descended into self-parody.

If you have digital TV, or if you have a slightly advanced analog TV, you can switch to English commentary.

I feel so uncool now... Everyone is in on the Phil and Paul Bash-Fest and I simply have no clue... Ohhh, creul Zeus, why was I born a non-Anglophone?

In case you haven't figured out yet, it's Paul Sherwin and Phil Liggett. Strangely, neither is American.

Gosh, it sure looks like a tough day's racing out there.

They are really going full gas.

I think I'm going to go watch some paint drying, that should be fun.

Yes, of course, but they are the team that Americans are subjected to 99% of the time.

It's usually somewhere under "settings". Which you probably figured.
