"If it was logistically possible I think you all would really enjoy seeing a finishing climb up Mt. Baldy"

I don't see what the problem would be with Baldy? Maybe not enough $ offered, that is the only hitch i can see.. there is plenty of parking and they could run it up GMR or the 39 to East Fork then along the ridge road..

That would be a bigtime stage finish... there was even a little snow up there last weekend.

The stage to Pasadena the year before was pretty good. Big Bear just did not deliver the excitement... possibly because some of the harder climbs were before TV coverage started.

I had breakfast with a friend today and we discussed this very thing. A mountain TT from the Base of Baldy, say Mills and Mt. Baldy road to the ski lift parking lots would be a great stage. I agree that most of the climb to Big Bear seemed boring because the really good parts of the stage weren't broadcast.

The problem is, if ToC continue it's growth in the future and stays in May, Giro d'Italia will be the race to suffer.

All members in here know that, and that's why many people are against Tour of California, unlike when it was in February.

If you watched the Zoncolan stage, you know the reason why.

I didn't watch the stage, but Rabo does have a habit of "I help you now, you help me later". Was it Paris-Nice where the Rabo team car paced Contador all the way back to the peloton like he was one of their own?

Was pretty obvious to me that Mick either called in a favour or offered him a tenner. At the end of the day what if he did, it goes on all the time, good on him. Certainly helped him out, though i think he would have got back on on the decent anyway, Levi descends like an old Granny.

Cali is a long, long way from drawing riders away from the Giro. This year I think the only argument you could make is that maybe, maybe Cav would have ridden the Giro if Cali hadn't been this month.
