Brutal TT. If he is in this kind of shape he will easily win Rio TT

The bigger they are...

Don't turn fans against him with your hype, dutchies.

You should also know things go better your way if you have the least amount of expectations possible.

By the way, he's neither Tommy D nor Tommeke, get him his own nickname.

Tommeke sounds flattering, while Tommy D does the opposite.

Today is another proof that he's no match for purer climbers in calculating a winning move.

Since his nickname is 'The Butterfly of Maastricht', he should just keep that...

I hope there's over 100km of TTing in next year's Tour. Would be epic to see the climbers going full *** while Dumoulin digs deep to defend his TT buffers.

I thought after last years Vuelta he had acquired the nickname "Major Tom" ??

Sounds good. How could people forget?

Point is, Tommy D and Tommeke are owned and it's a bit cringy calling him either.

Did he get mountain points for those hills? KoM is still possible, as he seems to be improving. There's still possibilities to go in breakaways. Sky should let the break go on a good number of MTF's

Just saw an interview from Dumoulin, in which he says the form is great, but that he now has to hold it until the Olympics, so he'll try to not go too deeply to preserve his form for Rio.

*** that, its time to go for glory. I expect another epic mountain raid and a glorious victory in the MTT. Also, this is a pretty epic group to be a part of.

He's essentially the same size as Froome. Why can't he win the Tour? Can he not sustain 470 watt or what is the problem?

Armstrong was heavier than the 71 kg Tom apparently weighs and did just fine.

Seriously. If he has the same shape as now. Who's going to beat him? And this is only if he has the same shape. Mind you, so on a good day, same shape, just to be perfectly clear. Who?

I don't know. Bad fortune can beat him. I'm just saying things tend not to go so well for you when you're all galvanized. I think you said this yourself once. Mind, I want him to win gold.

Well it speaks for itself that I say IN THIS SHAPE (so obviously without falls).

If he is in this shape, without falls, who is going to beat him? You do not seem to know the answer so what's so bad about saying this.
Obviously if he is not in the same shape or on a bad day/fall he will not win.

As I said, misfortune can beat him. My comment was just adressing your total confidence in him being unbeatable in Rio and it was mainly tongue-in-cheek. As in, the more you think he'll do well, the higher the chances bad luck strikes.

Executive Summary
- If he's good, he'll win
- If he's bad, he'll lose

He's only trying to protect you, since you always go full *** when cheering/hyping dutchies and most of the time something goes wrong with our dear countrymen and then we have to read your comments like " *** this im out of here" again.

Sure what you say isn't wrong, but I understand what bigmac is saying

But I'm not full of confidence. Not at all. Then you lack interpretation or any kind of reading skills actually.

Because I don't know what the form of the day is going to be. No one knows. Which is why I say 'in this shape'
But somehow even that is seen as clear hyping.

I disagree completely.
Hyping is saying:

Dumoulin will win the Rio TT no matter what.

THAT, is hyping. THAT, is being overconfident. And thats NOT what I say. So seriously, sod off

Someone who's peak should be at Olympics thus wasn't in best possible shape yesterday. Or someone like Froome who's riding hard all Tour yet isn't very far from Dumoulin who's resting most of the time.
