me too. i really wanted to see what horner could do. any idea what the problem is? hopefully it's a bad bruise and not a break and he'll at least be able to ride support, but more than any one on shack i wanted to see what he could do.

Absolutely gutted for Wiggins. He was in the form of his life and I think he would of surprised a lot of people here. You work all year to get yourself in shape for le tour, and then this happens. So cruel.

If we call Mario the best he has a chance. But it's a long way to go (add a WC). Also Mario won three points jerseys.

Considering he isn't past Petachi (who also won the points jersey in all GT's) it's way to early to name him the best.

I certainly see it as a possibility... but those two alone won eyewatering amounts of stages.

Now best TdF sprinter ever, that's pretty soon doable (Darrigade=22).

Let's see Mark take one hurdle at a time.

No Bottle losing time is Karma for wheel sucking and leeching the life out of cycling. He should have lost two minutes on stage one, lost six seconds. Karma caught up and delivered just deserts. He hasn't had it the last three years. Falls over every damn year and either breaks a minor bone and is out or loses time or blows big time on a decisive stage. Bottle chews through team resources. He shouldn't have crashed yesterday. Does something like that every year. He's a liability and now that he is back will he help Andreas? Will he attack. I think not. Feel sorry for Bottle, give me a break. Remember why his nickname is bottle and you'll understand why sympathy for him only screws over his team mates who work.

Shack are now decisive. Kloeden, the guy I was saying from day 1 was their best rider and in form, is now undoubtedly the team leader. It sucks for him that the two bigger helpers Brajkovic and Horner are either out or in bad shape. Popovych is hurt leaving only Zubeldia in shape. Andreas has been stellar so far. He is in great shape. Sucks for Brajkovic, Popo and Horner...not for Bottle.

I sure hope he can motivate himself for the Vuelta. Anglo riders usually don't have much interest besides the TdF, but finishing on the podium of the Vuelta would be a GREAT performance for Wiggins.

Yer mate, I was thinking the same thing about Wiggins and the Vuelta. I suppose it depends if he is back fit in time. Would he have enough time to get ready. I suppose its the last thing he is thinking of.
