So the first opportunity to test Sky, was missed. Congrats to Garmin, Rolland, and Peraud, for at least giving them something to think about though far too late as BMC and Cannondale could already smell the sprint. Next opportunity will be the cobbles, though it doesn't look like any other contender has the team or skills to take them on. It'll be hold on, ride up front, and hope for the best. So really it falls to stage 9 and 10. Which offer great terrain to make gaps and open them up. It could only fail if...noone tries, and/or other teams close the gaps. You'd think that 2 cases in recent memory should be enough for them to take it on, though maybe the riders don't want to win, and/or maybe they think they can win head to head.
