I am thinking these athletes (riders) are not the brightest bulbs in the room.

Nairo lead out for Froome the other day. Today it was Valverde and Gesink. And after G was crashed out and Poels was dropped. And AC sprints to the finish after wheelsucking. WTF.

You've riders like kruiswijk who ride offensive an entire GT and then you've guys like Gesink . Was already 5th i think in the tour and now he's chasing nibali who will destroy gesink anyways in the next days.

Then why did Kruijswijk almost all the work on Mortirolo and Aprica?

Nibali is still the most spectacular among GC contenders. Thank God he’s in the Tour, otherwise another boring stage in the peloton of the maillot jaune
A guy many minutes down does some meaningless descending for a meaningless gain of meaningless seconds. So exciting!

Nibali could have provided more entertainment by showing up in good shape.

While Kruiswijk rode an excellent Giro, let's not forget he did lose a lot of time in the first week.
Gesink has been very constant this entire tour. Finished out of the first 30 yesterday for the first time (finished 31st!).

Gesink might lose his place to Nibali but all in all he's Tour has been great and he's one of the few GC guys who actually tried something last week.

Can't believe Nibali was the only GC guy to try anything today. The rest of the GC guys seem to have already given up on winning and just want to fight for 3rd.

What did he do before that? Attacking the whole time. And he was with the best trying to gain major time on many guys in that stage.

It was only nibali, why the hell would he chase nibali? He'll get destroyed by nibali, jesus.

I really don't get the animosity towards Gesink. I find it hard to believe Froome was not going to be able to chase down an attack in the final 3km. And with all of Gesink's personal problems and injuries wouldn't you do everything to protect your first chance at a GT top 10 since Vuelta 2012?
