How technical is the descent from Col du Glandon?

Tomorrow they're descending the steepest side, which seems quite nasty on a descent as well. Don't discount the Col de la Morte descent either, some nasty bits in there. Nothing as bad as Allos though.

You had this OP ready to go, didn't you? ;)

I've noticed that some have not been satisfied about the OPs the last couple of days, so had a look on some Tour 2011 stage threads, that have been praised and got inspired :p So yeah, it was ready to go, was just waiting to include the GC standings!
Perhaps I'll do the next stages also, since I've got the time having caught a cold these days ;)

Wow! What an OP!! Thanks.

Awesomeness of Lacets de Montvernier.
Is that 3 kms only?

A certain Slowakian with cool hair and a green jersey to create some carnage during the first 100 km
I don't think so.
I think Pierre Rolland will try to get into the break at all costs. And then some guys who took it easy today like Purito, De Gendt, Kelderman, etc.

I don't like this OP. :(
Just kidding!....Just figured for the sake of tradition someone should complain. :p Very good op...thanks for taking the time to do it.

Nibali for the win!

Quintana HAS to attack on Glandon tomorrow (actually they all do) but if he finishes with Froome he has 0 chance of winning

Quintana is tired. He will try his small attacks, hoping for a Froome weakness. Otherwise not much action.

I wish he was stronger.

Think Moviestar have to attack from the beginning of the stage, to put pressure on Froome and Sky. Valverde and Quintano seem strong enough to go with this plan. The cooler conditions will help attacking riding.

Sagan to go in the break and cause havoc. I hope he will get rewarded well for his efforts. As for the GC? Nothing will happen. Contador might try escape, but Valverde will make sure he gets reeled in.

More likely Contador and Nibali attack early and the movistar train pull them back, then ride a tempo to guide Froome to the line with Nairo.

What I don't understand is the wide expectation that Contador will do something. The guy looks knackered and will just disappoint anyone who still expect him to challenge.

No one expects him to challenge, people expect him to attack, like he did today.
He actually looked quite good today, a shame he crashed.

Yes, that's what they would do if they were riding to win the Tour. Unfortunately, they are not riding to win.

One of a few good OP's this Tour, done by someone who joined a month ago!
Well done!

Break FTW, maybe Rollands

For those saying Sagan, no ways. Glandon is fierce and a good climber will easily drop him on the outragously steep Lacets de Montvernier
