Froomes crash from bike camera on rider behind Froome - does not look good with that post

He was so lucky to miss that pole!
It was clearly a Katusha rider. Majka, Bodnar and Poljanski all ride for Bora.

This is a pole

But this is also a pole

GC riders and their teams have no business fighting for position with sprint trains during the last kilometers of a flat stage. It only serves to escalate what is already very dangerous situation. Sky have been the instigators of that unwelcome trend, so Froome losing the Tour and double that way would be more than a little bit ironic.

Actually MK is a Pole, and the thing that CF almost hit is a pole. And since we are playing this, the Katusha rider, Zabel, is a German. No fault anywhere in that incident IMO. Obviously in hindsight CF should have soft pedaled a few strokes.

There was space for at most the 2 that were already there (Zabel and the DDD rider) and Froome tried to make it 3 wide

A mistake everyone makes every once in a while, but a mistake nonetheless.

That pole needs a bit more polish

I don't know. With those colours it already looks Polish.

Fuglsang, Majka and Nibali in just after 8 sprinters...... guess Majka is doing GC after all ;)

Btw, people should stop hating on Zabel.... watch the video footage.... he is getting bumped by a rider inside, and has to adjust for balance.... it’s not a deliberate act against Froome.

Also, now that people keep mentioning it.... Sagan should not have been booted last year.... He also just adjusted to not crash, after getting hit himself.... again, not a deliberate act.

Calm down brits ;)
I think there was only one person doing that ;)

Movistar have made a massive mistake appointing Landa and Valverde as equal leaders with Quintana.
BMC are idiots for not having riders with Porte. Tejay Van Garderen hasn't shown any Grand Tour podium ability for a few years now - he is in decline. Plus its a Grand Tour why would you waste your time protecting classics riders (GVA)?
Anyhow what happened happened, deal with it and move on I guess.
Even if Quintana was sole leader of the team before the race, neither Valverde nor Landa were going to wait for him anyway. That is the Movistar way. In fact the only domestiques left stayed with Quintana.

There appears to be a non understanding of the Movistar way, which is well different than other teams. Alex Dowsett once described the difference between Sky and Movistar as Sky has your entire day planned out for you down to the minute and Movistar is organized chaos.
