Jandri would honestly piss me off cause Rosael is much more feasable and don't actually have to finish there

Where would you place the finish of the Rosael stage, Val Thorens or a really long descent all the way down to Moûtiers?

Could go either way. Could also put a climb at the end. Looking at Finestre this year nothing would stop the action

Was thinking that descending the south side wouldn't really be realistic, bu then there are some steep descents.

But both sides would be huge, and you can out massive climbs before it too

It doesn't matter how good or bad the design is, as long as a team has a strangle-hold on the action. That's what makes the TdF the least appreciated GT here, plus some bias. At this point, in my view, only ITT distance can level the playing field, short stages maybe.Sky's A Team with discipline is just too strong. Le Tour is the biggest prize, the field is by far the strongest if you look at team composition. Et caetera...

Yeah. The Tignes stage is ideally positioned to be the queen stage ... if there's going to be one. L'Étape du Tour (Albertville - Val Tho) will likely be easier, as will the Valloire stage, with only Izoard and Galibier as the most likely option there.

5749m elevation gain is a bit much, though. When was the last time the Tour (or the Giro, for that matter) matched, or surpassed that?

Very optimistic suggestions from Lasterketa Burua. I don't believe for a second that we'll see those three Alps stages. The Pyrenee stages seems somewhat more plausible. The Prates di Albi stage could be interesting if they do Pegeuere and Agnes-Latrape/Port de Lers first. Just hope they do something "smart" on the Tignes stage. Could be a possible queen stage, but may just as likely end up as short stage with Iseran as the only tough climb.

The effect of team strength can be lessened with great route design.

But the fact thst the 2nd stage to be announced was a TTT just proves that the ASO dont give a *** anymore

So the 3rd week will (probably) feature an ITT, a Gap stage and 3 mountain stages, that's almost as backloaded as 2011.

Well, you'll still have two Vosges stages in week 1, a Massif Central and three Pyrenee stages in week 2. Backloading is far from being the biggest concern.

Yes, but he stage proposed by Lasterketa Burua would also be a great Tignes stage.

Yes, a finish in Les Menuires-Reberty would be a great option.

What is the obsession with TTT, is it because the roads are closed for less time than an ITT, because although watching a TTT can be a great watch, for the race an ITT is much better.

TTTs are terrible cause they really don't have to throw more bones to the teams that already strangle the race.
