Negative split is doing (eg) 49kmh for first ten, 50 for next 10, then 52 for last 10.What does “negative split this” mean?
What exatly was the plan for Pinot? Lost 2:30 on the flat, than changed bike after the time point, so no chance of doing a good time there too...

Strictly speaking, negative split not really possible here because course gets tougher. But, you negative split it in terms of watts I imagine. Basically it’s just holding something back to begin with so you have a bit more in the tank at the end of the race
Guess who's going to be a DCTony Martin helping put up Roglics number![]()
For place 30+? Would have prefered to finish a bit lower but try the full climb with the road bike and as fast as possible. He's just trying to ride as good a TT as possible?
Pinot a little stronger now?
No, because you use less time per distance unit.if you increase the tempo from split to split, wouldn’t that be a “positive split”?
No because the ‘split’ strictly speaking is measured in time between points. So you’re taking less time between points.if you increase the tempo from split to split, wouldn’t that be a “positive split”?
You can't blame him, if you start with a TT bike you must change it before the climb, cuz TT bike is a lot heavier than the other one. What exatly was the plan for Pinot? Lost 2:30 on the flat, than changed bike after the time point, so no chance of doing a good time there too...
