Danish commentators reminding us of 2013, when Bora was called Cannondale, giving Sagan the win with the exactly same strategy:


Bora back then was called NetApp.

The team that was called Cannondale back then, was what used to be Liquigas. Sagan left to ride for Tinkoff, and Cannondale merged with Garmin to form what is now EF.

I don't think that was the only time Sagan's teams did that. They certainly did it on a couple of occasions in the Tour of California, but I think they got caught out a couple of times as well. Taylor Phinney got he jump on them and stole a stage once.
