Reading between the lines listening to Pidcock it sounded like he was planning on following wheels and seeing where he finishes in GC. Easier said than done of course

Jumbo and UAE have tried to put Kuss and Yates in the break, Pidcock is the obvious counter to that kind of move.

But then they probably wouldnt race like this, knowing a mountain stage is coming up.

I think the pacing here is perfect with this stage today, after the rest day, with an easier day tomorrow.

Then a bit of a harder day on Thursday and then mountains coming up.

He is certainly very cautious and probably uses more energy than Pog

If racing continues like this long enough, and the peloton is even more thinned out but still not out of reach, things will get extremely dangerous for Jumbo. They basically can'tlet such a szenario happen, even though they can't do much against it.

But just imagine a relatively isolated Vingegaard in a small group with Pogacar. Madness would surely happend.

It is still unlikely though I think.

2. Why doesn't Gaudu just sit up? Take 5 rest days and go for polka dots from Saturday on.
