Only 17k to the sprint; potential for absolutely massive gaps today if the Tourmalet is ridden hard.

Wawa or another bdsm needs to be getting in these breaks, if Onley is alone after Tourmalet then it could be trouble, Arkea's team actually look pretty legit in the mountains and Bora will be able to help each other.

Peloton still going so fast. Seems hopeless for Skjelmose, but maybe he can catch the heaviest sprinters later.

I'd say he hasn't shown the form to win the KOM but tbh hard to single out a break rider that can challenge GC riders (Pogacar)

Agreed. But still it sucks that you have a plan for the day and the next mountain stages, and it's gone before they could even try. And the way it goes Milan won't get sprint points because of bad timing and already spenting to much energy. So already before Tourmarlet, Lidl might have lost green potentially in the long run and the chance to go for KOM.

Yea terrible day for Lidl Trek, but also entirely self imposed. Maybe Skjelmose should abandon and try to come back even stronger for Vuelta. And Lidl can try to focus 100% on Milan
