He's lollygagging midpack/back all the time, waiting for the mountains. Might be ok but if he gets caught in a split he might not get any support as they're mostly concerned about leader 1A.
It might be he's not trying for GC but going for stages saving himself for vuelta?

"Welcome... Jonathan Vaughters!"

Ah for *** sake
Him telling Robbie McEwen that race organisers are stepping away from sprint stages because audiences find them boring was at least something to take from this.

Well, that and that if he's on the commentary only we don't have to see what stupid outfit he's wearing while he talks.

Carlton now going all-in on the glazing, telling Vaughters why he thinks everybody loves EF-Easypost, because of course everybody loves them.

Carlton, most of us were positively disposed to Carapaz during the Giro because the alternatives were SSDD superteams and/or because they liked Richard Carapaz, not because he was riding for EF. Some may have been cheering for him because they like EF, sure, but it's not that "everybody" loves Vaughters' band of merry men.

love Vaughters asking about Jonas helmet (I wondered that too) understanding the answer in like 2 seconds, but Robbie persisting in give the full blow by blow info about it, despite Vaughters clearly providing the yep got that, ok got it, yep totally got it
