It was obvious before this, but once they start doing the kind of paceline where each rider slides off the front as soon as they get there means they've put it in neutral. It makes it look like they are cooperating but just keeps them from creating enough power.

Reminds me of Sean Kelly when Dan Martin won LBL and you could hear a faint 'Yes!'.

Honestly feel like Groves is in the wrong team, I think he'd be a really decent one day rider but with Philipsen, Van der Poel, and even del Grosso now coming through, he never gets a chance.

Because he was going fast. Jonas’ performance on Ventoux is almost on par with his performance on Plateau de Beille in 2024
