Vingegaard didn't work his TT after Dauphiné?
Two things have come together. Once again, Pogacar has been underestimated, and Vingegaard is smaller than Pogacar. Theoretically, such a flat time trial favors Pogacar.

In 2023, the year of Combloux, Vingegaard rode a time trial that seemed completely flat in the Vuelta.
His time wasn´t very good

We're also left with the memory of Dauhpiné instead of remembering that Pogacar finished just 12 seconds behind Remco last year.

Could it be that the course is just too flat and windy for Vingegaard. Remember reading from the OP that the Tour hasn't seen a TT as flat as this in quite some time. And although he is excellent on hillier terrain, Vingegaard losing more in relation to Pog and Remco on a completely flat one is actually logical and not necessarily a sign of lacking form.
