It's nice to once again see a proper time trial in the women's race (one for the specialists, whatever that means). The Nice final looks interesting, but also slightly unimaginative, some of the hilly stuff could lead to good racing, and Ventoux is what it is. Still a shame not to see a real mountain stage where the hardest climb isn't the last one.

Groenewegen at the presentation means that Unibet will be at the 2026 TDF. I suspect the key stage for the women will be the ITT as big gaps can be expected.

Finally, can we stop any discussion about Pogacar to go into his thread. This thread is to discuss the TDF route ONLY.

So it should be 23 teams then. Has it been confirmed, as I know it was just rumours.

There's only one stage in the Pyrenees.
It's where Pogacar has won the most.They're so desperate to create anti-Pogacar routes that they've destroyed the Pyrenees .

So by your definition (and if he thinks the same), he is wrong. However he is clearly saying w/kg after a hard race is Pogacar's specialty (and this is right) and he can't be a specialist in anything more and this is clearly wrong.

This is like saying Usain Bolt is a 200m runner specialist and he is not in 100m. Sorry, this is ridiculous.

Nah, both of you are right. What he said is Pog can creat bigger gap after hard race compared to fresh. For some people, that doesn't mean he is XXX specialist or XXX is his specialty. That's fair enough, he is specilaist on either everthing, or nothing. But it's weird to single point that he is specilaist on only one thing

Horrible route! Stage 20 is the hardest stage! A TT of 26 km. A solid 3 out of 10.

Some pretty tough stages in the first two weeks still. Second week is nice with the Le Lioran stage, Le Markstein, and Solaison.

But they've removed almost all the mountainous terrain. This route suits Remco better than one with a long time trial but real mountains.

The mountains in this Tour are rubbish.
