Is it me or are the gcn commentators super annoying. Just continually listing the riders and their placings. Super high energy even when there is a long way to go.

Also giving their full names and the full title tour de France femmes avec zwift. Exhausting .. had to switch to French where it just tour de France femmes and surnames.

Rant over!

Yeah, that sounds exhausting.
I'm watching on Danish TV. They also just use "Tour de France Femmes" and primarily surnames.

Vollering must be a very accomodating person - This must be the third or fourth time she's allowed/been directed to allow rider go for the victory.
And yet she's the one that gets blamed for being selfish on SD Worx, I really don't get it. Not when...
:) You could argue that she should have worked for Vollering. Of course this discussion won't happen, because the Dutch don't care either way.
...she's teammates with Lotte Kopecky. The thought of Kopecky working for a teammate even if she wasn't wearing the maillot jaune... even Lizzie Deignan would put her own aspirations aside once a year at the Giro and domestique for Guarnier/Stevens/van der Breggen/Longo Borghini, even if she wouldn't be seen dead working for anybody else the rest of the time. In the yellow jersey, ain't no way the team is asking Kopecky to lead out. And if they did, would she listen?

Super pleased for Liane, even if it took another moment of ball-dropping from the SD Worx team car about who to prioritise, she is so overdue a win (other than the nationals, obviously, since she's been in that jersey for a couple of years now) and deserves a chance to raise her arms for the entertainment she's brought fruitlessly so far this season.

Feels like some of these DS is a lot better at ordering plain tickets, handing bottles and driving the team car than actually reading a race/finish. Thats true in men's cycling, but it seems especially true in women's cycling.

She's not going to keep it until the end, has enough cushion to keep it even if she's not 100% protected in the finale, seems like going for the stage win with Demi is a win win for them. That said, I'm no DS! :p

No, but what does Demi getting a win do for them ? bonus seconds on the line ? A bit of confidence?

It doesnt really move her forward in GC, all the GC riders are clumped together it seems, and Kopecky might feel that as being in yellow she should take the teams priority as how many chances left for stage wins will she have ?

You'd expect them to ride for Wiebes tomorrow, and then switch to Demi, unless they're just waiting for the Tourmalet to crack on.

I guess its an embarrassment of riches type problem that most other teams just go no ride for the rider most likely to win in this situation, don't muck about.

Van Agt was briefly knocked out, but she was conscious when she was taken to the hospital

Well, it's gets them another stage win in the Tour De France and bonus seconds for the person far more likely to need them for the overall win. Honestly, with the race being only 8 stages Kopecky getting a stage and yellow is ALREADY pretty nice for her. Just my .02 anyway, definitely not trying to be combative here! :)
