I'm not sure I can remember someone at such a top end of climbing level being so poor on descents such that they become more a factor in the races than the climbs themselves, everyone could see exactly what was coming.

Gigantic downhill problem. Those extra efforts are deadly.

Kasia going hard. Did she crash today? With blood on her leg.
Yes, she was brought down when Kerbaol crashed at the bottom of the Joux-Plane, but she got onto her bike quickly and Cille pulled her back into position quickly. Commentary mis-identified her as Włodarczyk, but it was the Polish national jersey that went down.

Tbh I can't say I don't *** myself when I descend a mountain but it's surreal to see a pro ride like this.

Yeah, this isn't just about cornering, it appears she's simply not comfortable at speed at all on the bike, even when going straight. You can just see how tense she is...

You could see when she was first distanced and Labous was riding across the gap, despite the urgency of reconnecting with the group, she would NOT pedal, instead freewheeling despite that she was going slower than those in front.

She really needs a pilotfish, so she could follow somebody who's a better descender. I mean, a teammate would swiftly get more frustrated than Nibali guiding Basso down the Mortirolo in 2010, but just being able to hold somebody competent in eyesight and follow their lines would be beneficial.

Did you miss her getting distanced by 30" on the first descent of the day?

It may have been a one-off borne out of other circumstances, but she did get dropped on the descent.
I'm gonna be honest I've not watched any racing all weekend. Not even watching this one just leaving comments based on the live ticker when I check my phone. Still the forums number 1 tactical analysist thoguh

She's literally holding off when they go faster, like she seems reasonably fine doing hairpins at low speed, but she stops accelerating out of corners once she goes past 50 kph

Ok, if that was the case She should have gone very hard like a TT at the bottom of Joux Plane

Sarah Gigante lost 50s in like 6km descending.
She's afraid of the speed.

It's heartbreaking to watch. I hope she can get some of this time back on the next climb.
