Spratt was replaced 24hrs before the start.
Sure, but if Reusser was seemingly ok to start yesterday but then woke up today significantly worse and felt unable to, they may not have had a rider on site or close enough to arrive in time for the start.

Anyway, a disasterclass from Movistar as they clearly learned too much from their men's team, while SD Worx' tactical legacy continues apace it seems.

Ferrand-Prevot looks really strong. This is her only real goal of the year and we know how good she can be when she really wants to be.
Never seen her so sharp/skinny in her face. Just saw some pictures from before the stage, don’t remember seeing her like this before. She looks really strong, but we have to wait untill the mountains.

The indecision for Vos at the end was comical, but great win nonetheless.

So I guess the genuine contenders has already been narrowed down with Reusser out and ELB living up to her statement of focusing on stage wins. PFP looking good, but still in the unsure category until the real mountains. I had debated putting Kim Le Court in my darkhorse category, but need to see more as well. Overall, not a terrible stage and Wiebes didn't win.

Vossification occurred in this stage. Not a complete surprise. No longer a spring chicken, she can still win lots of races at the highest level. Craziness. Much respect.

What happened to her and Kopecky? Just bad legs?
Kopecky has just not the form she had last years, because of knee injurie in the winter and back pain during the Giro.
For ELB, she is maybe tired because of the tough Giro?

It's typical for her at her big target; she's done it for years - but can only hold that weight for a matter of weeks as it's not great healthwise; she did an interview on Pinkbike a few years ago about it.

Kool hasn't recovered from the Baloise crash and is out of the race. She was probably never too likely to finish the race anyway, but it was worth the gamble for Picnic. Now we'll see if Barbieri can score some decent results instead.

Kopecky in the 2nd (dropped) peloton. It’s gonna be a leadout in the next days and nothing more I guess.

Why is she even riding? If she is not at 100% maybe resting is a better choice.
She had a better feeling again the last weeks in training.
Now they’re talking about it for 10 minutes already on Sporza that she has to do interviews etc even when it’s not going good. Let her be.

Really bad timing for a little crash from Le Court. She will come back normally.

Chabbey first again. She’s got more energy left it seems.
