Try being in his saddle. How would you like to be knocked off your bike, get hurt and have your dreams of at least winning that stage of the Tour dashed because someone couldn't be bothered to leash or properly educate their dog when they should have. Guys, you probably cycle every day - right? Think about how many times a dog of any size - no matter how friendly the dog is -has come running at you while you're cycling. Go on youtube and type in cyclist dog attack or dog vs cyclist and you'll see many scary incidents where it is or could have been bad for the biker especially at his speed and on concrete.
