Going into the final time trial last year the GC was:-

1.Andy Schleck 2.Frank Schleck 3.Cadel Evans

They did the time trial in that exact (reverse) order at three minute intervals.

In other words no dispensation was made for the fact that the Schlecks were both on the same team even though the GC race was very much still alive.

Don't know how that happened. I've just been back and checked on the Le Tour website. Definitely 2011, stage 20, 23rd July, but not the right race details. Sorry
